Does the cube have private or shared dimensions? I believe this could be done if it uses private dimensions. And if it does use shared dimensions, the shared dimensions dont have the same name as any dimensions in the target database. Here's how I'd do it: 1. Copy the cube and associated dimensions (metadata) over to the new OLAP database through Analysis Manager (right click copy/paste) 2. Take the service down 3. Copy the associated cube and dimensional data files over to the new folder 4. Bring service back up That should work.
