Default Move Analysis Services database - 05-11-2005 , 03:39 PM

Do i just do a backup and restore of the databases ? Whats the repository ?
Would that be included when i backup the database ? Or do I need to back it
up seperately ? If so how ?

Hey Dave,

What can you not do when you backup the Analysis Services database ? It
seemed like when i was doing the backups yesterday, I was kinda locked out.
What do i need to consider so I need to plan on when to schedule the backups
?

The principal issue with archive is that it cannot handle if any file grows
beyond 2GB.Secondly, relative to other backup/archive utilities, it is
pretty slow.
