We recently migrated a few of our cubes from SSAS 2000 to 2005. Many of
our users have saved excel files which contain specific pivot query
data.

Is there any way to migrate the excel files to point to the new server
while retaining the existing pivot layout?

describes how to programatically change the datasource however once you
do that Excel requires a refresh which removes the pivot table
selections.

As far as I know the cubes are identical.

Any way to automate this process?
