Default Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Oracle problem. - 12-15-2005 , 10:53 AM

I have a problem with an installation of Analysis Manager on my laptop.
Through Analysis Manager I wish to attach to cubes on the Server. I can
attach to the server. As soon as I click on the data source and meta
data I see there is a problem.

In the right pane there is a little red cross, The provider is listed
as Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Oracle. The Database is a Oracle 9.2.
Both my machine and the server have Analysis Services SP4 installed.

I have installed MDAC 2.8 SP1. I have unregistered C:\Program
Files\Common Files\System\Ole DB\msdaora.dll and re-registered it.

I am currently totally lost as to what tyo attempt next. I cannot
change the provider on the server. Other people seem to be able to edit
the data source, where as I am unable to do so.

All help gratefully received.
Mark.
