Default Meta Data Scripter sample - 08-17-2004 , 04:12 PM

It's nice to see the SQL Server 2000 Resource Kit text available
online at the MS site, but unfortunately the code samples that come
with the book aren't included. In particular, I am interested in the
MetaDataScriptor VB project. Is there anywhere I can download a copy
of this sample, or am I pay another £60 for the book with CD-ROM?

I would even say that DSO/XML Conversion Utility is better then
MetadataScripter, because it creates XML files as opposed to VB code...
DSO/XML can be downloaded from here:

Hi Gavin,
i hope you get well paid.
there is a free sample
"DSO/XML Conversion Utility"
which is similar to the MetaDataScripter.

Another alternative would be to find someone in your company with a TechNet
distribution.
All of the resource kits (SQL, Windows, etc.. all of them) are distributed
on TechNet.
They might also be on MSDN Universal.
