so if i have a bunch of member properties, and they are set visible =
False-- do they still effect performance?

I would think so - hiding them just means you don't want to show them to the
end user....they
could be used in formula's, queries and so forth - are you sure that the
member properties is
killing performance significantly - yes they do mean something but my guess
isn't that much....
