Default Member caption problems - 09-05-2003 , 05:20 AM

I'm new to Analysis Services, OLAP and MDX in general, but I've just
taken over responsibility for a system and have the following problem:

I'm running Analysis Services 2000 and if I create a cube with dimension
that has a float as its source column the members (captions) of the
dimension have horrid rounding errors.

For example, if the source column represents a height, one of the values
may be 1.44, but this results in a member called 1.4399999999999999
which of course looks awful when I create graphs using Pro Clarity.

I've tried changing the Key Data Type from Char to Double but always the
member captions come out the same.

Has anyone any idea what might be causing this and how I can fix it?
