Default Max RAM supported by AS SP3a ? - 07-07-2003 , 01:05 AM

Hi:

what is the max amount of RAM that Analysis Services (SP3a) supports?

Is there a 64-bit version AS? What is the Max RAM supported and which OS
must be used?

Thanks

Analysis Services supports up to 3GB of virtual memory for the 32-bit
version of the product. You must set this option in the boot.ini file.

If you're solution will require an amount that is either more than this or
even in an approximate range of this, I would recommend that you investigate
the 64-bit edition of Analysis Services. It supports 64 GB of RAM with
Enterprise Edition of Windows 2003 (64-bit). Datacenter Edition will
support up to 512 GB of RAM.

Thanks for your info. Guess the 64-bit AS is not part of SQL Server 2000
installation CD? Could you point out a web site regarding 64-bit AS
(pricing, OS requirement) ?

Thanks
