Is there a way to share an existing private dimension in Analysis Services
2000 SP4?

Alternatively, can anyone tell me why when I rename the existing private
dimension so I can create a shared dimension using the old name, Analysis
Manager tells me the dimension already exists? Even after saving the cube,
designing storage, reprocessing, restarting AM, etc.

Do I have to make a new cube from scratch??
