Default Login failed after OLAP DB transfer - pls help - 01-21-2004 , 07:18 PM

Please help.

I used "Copy" and "Paste" to transfer an Analysis Services
database metadata from ServerA to ServerB. Th edatabase
uses only 1 data source - OLEDB for SQL Seerver connected
to (local) server. After pasting the metadata, I opened
the data sourcefor editing and tested the connection - all
ok. Then I tried to process the database , but got the
following message:
"Data source provider error: login failed for
user 'NTAUTHORITY\SYSTEM'."

I tried the same transfer scenario on another Analysis
services database, which also has a single SQL Server
datasource, but on another server. In this case I got the
same error referring to user 'NTAUTHORITY\ANONYMOUSLOGON'.

Has anyone encountered this problem?

Regards,
Soloist

Hi,

I understand that your Analysis Services is in ServerB but
your SQL Server is in ServerA.

Try running the MSSQLServerOLAPService of ServerB on any
domain User ID which has got access to the SQL Server
(which is on ServerA).

Cheers,
Sanka
