Default load test on OLAP cubes - 05-05-2004 , 04:46 PM

Hi all

Is there any way by which we can perform the load test on OLAP cubes. My requirement is to understand the behavior of Analysis Services when the cubes are hit by say 10/ 50/ 75/ 100 users. Is there a tool by which I can simulate the scenario and test the load on OLAP server

Any help on this would be appreciated

Thank
Gomathi

When you say Load test I'm not sure what you mean....do you mean how much
pressure that is placed on As at a given time ?

It will depend a lot on the strucure of your cubes ... and the complexity in
your calculated members - if you have some.

AS has some performance monitor tools which can be activated in the system
monitor on the server....just know that they exist - haven't dived that much
into them myself yet...but I will at some point.

If it's just because you need verification of what it can do...
