Linked cube for network performance issues or OLAP replication options -

Hi All
I have built a Financials cube on a analysis server based in Toronto.
Our company is a multinational one and we have subsidiaries in
Germany, UK, Asia. The cube on the central server is needed by staff
in our subsidiaries to access for analysis. The network bandwidth
between our office in Canada to Europe and ASIA is bad so analysis
users on a remote link suffer performance problems due to network
latency when we in Toronto do not have any problems. I thought of the
concept of using Local cubes or archiving the cube in Toronto server
and shipping and restoring these archives in Europe and ASIA local
analysis servers and users in each of these areas can use the local
analysis server which gets a new updated archive everyday to
minimise/avoid wide area network latency issues.
How does linked cube work does it copy the central cube to the local
servers or using a linked cube will it still cause ongoing network
issues. Any other idea/views on replicating the central cube to local
servers to minimise network bandwidth issues.
Thanks
