Default Licensing-How they count - 09-05-2003 , 01:00 AM

Dear all,

I got a doubt here regarding the implementation of OLAP cubes to
internet and intranet environment.

I am having 5 machines with windows operating system, a Server installed
with IIS and MS SQL Server Enterprise Edition. I am planning to
implement the OLAP cubes over the intranet and internet as well. However
i am getting confused with the number of CALs that i must buy.

For intranet, i might need to enable 5 machines to connect to my server
through Client server environment by using IIS. What are the best option
that i can in order implement it. Besides than that, is there any way to
save the licenses ?

For internet, i might need to Internet connector license for my IIS.
What are the other requirements that i need to beware of ?

Thank you for solving my doubts.

Have a nice day

Best Regards,

Jeff

A couple of resources you might want to look at:
http://www.microsoft.com/sql/howtobuy/default.asp
http://www.microsoft.com/sql/howtobu...rlicensing.asp
http://www.microsoft.com/sql/howtobuy/faq.asp
Hope this helps.
