Hi All, Are there any gotchas to integrating msolap.asp with siteminder? Is it even possible? Or even an issue? Thank you. Chris Brandsma |

SiteMinder is a good end-user authentication mechanism. It authenticates users, but does not change underlying NT credentials used by the application. It continues to run anonymously. However Analysis Services requires NT credentials to work properly. So yes, you can adjust whether or not a particular virtual directory can be access by SiteMinder, but you can not impersonate that user with NT credentials . . . that is a limitation of SiteMinder and a requirement for Analysis Services. Thus it is very difficult to integrate the two together like most users want. If you can share with us how you are using SiteMinder and what your requirements are, we can help guide you better, but don't get your hopes up :-) -- Dave Wickert [MSFT] dwickert (AT) online (DOT) microsoft.com Program Manager BI SystemsTeam SQL BI Product Unit (Analysis Services) -- This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
