Default InstanceSelection? - 09-28-2006 , 01:01 PM

What is the purpose of this property? I've read about it...but are the
benefits currently available to any of the end user tools?

Reason I ask is because we have a cube with very large dimensions (10
million, 9 million, 5 million, 2 million members) and it takes a good time
just to open the thing through Proclarity 6.1.

InstanceSelection appears to be something which would help the users avoid
that long waiting time. True? Anyone have experience using it yet?

I know one usage of this. When you create a model and use report builder,
the InstanceSelection controls how the field is present in the filter (either
dropdown, list or manual)

This could also be a hint for any tool to determine how to present the
attributes in selection case.
