I just installed Analysis Services on my desktop running SQL Server 2000.
When I try to connect to the server I get the following error msg:

unable to connect to the registry on the server(myservername) or you are not
a member of the OLAP administrator group on this server.

What do I do? I am new to Analysis Services please help.

I got same problems at my Analysis Services here.

If you connect and log in using Windows authentication, try running Analisys
Services service (MSSQLServerOLAPService) with your account (domain
account?): Administrative Tools -> Services > MSSQLServerOLAPService ->
Logging -> this account... [your account]

If not (using SQL server authentication), then there's a problem with your
user's permissions.
