Default Install AS 2005 in SQL Server 2000 Environment - 04-26-2006 , 12:26 PM

Hi all,

We want to install AS 2005 in a server which has SQL Server 2000. The SQL
2000 is required not to be affected(no upgraded to 2005). The data of cubes
in AS 2005 comes from this sql 2000.

The installation document I found always involves both SQL Server 2005 and
AS 2005. I am not sure there are no problems on coexisting of SQL 2000 and AS
2005.

Anybody has the alike experience? Thanks.

Regards,

seamus

I have installed on 2 servers both 2000 and 2005 without any issue.
I have 1 server with AS2000, SQL 2000, RS2000, SQL 2005, AS2005 & RS2005
and all services works fine.

But I have quickly switched all my databases & RS to 2005.
Only AS2000 & 2005 works together because the migration takes more time.
The database compatibility is excellent as well as the RS compatibility.
