Default IBM Client Access Express/SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition - 06-07-2004 , 12:04 PM

Hello friends,

who can help the following problem?
-Source Database is AS/400
-Target Database SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition
-Successfull Insatllation of MS SQL Server:
- Successfull access to Northwind table via Enterprise Manager
- Successfull access to Cubedata via Analysis Manager
After installing Client Access Express R 4.5.0 SQL Server as well as
Ananlysis Services
is no longer working properly but spits out the following error
message when
trying to access Data as described before:

"The query can not be processed because some files are missing or not
registered. Run istallation again to make sure the required files are
registered"

Deinstallation and Installation makes no difference as well as
different
order in Installing the Database and ClientAccess. Installing MDAC
didn't
make any difference either.
Versions are
Windows 2003 Server (Standard Edition)

SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition - Service Pack 3a

IBM Client Access Express 4.5.0

Thanks Paul!

My recent experience with ClientAccess (iseries access, now) is that you
need to upgrade to V5R2 (the client only) with some service pack (SI09809)
for it to work correctly with windows 2003.
We used the IBM OLEDB provider to connect to the AS/400 database (hope
you're not using ODBC, because it's much much slower) and there were a lot
of problem before upgrading the client (I think it can work if your iSeries
is V4R5 or above with the good SP)

Anyway, on the FTP site of IBM, there's a ODBC fix for version prior to
SI09809 maybe it could do the trick.

HTH,
Christophe
