Hi, I understand that HTTP/HTTPS connectivity to an Analysis Server is restricted to SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition licence only Are there any known alternatives for providing HTTP connectivity via the Standard Edition? Also, is it known whether the exclusion of this functionality is planned for the SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition Kind Regards Simon Kirk CRM Data Warehouse +44 771 200 2965 |

Hi Simon, Only the Enterprise edition will give you the HTTP connection, the only alternatives require you to use SSPI=anonymous on the connection string or to use passthrough security, where you are adding all the users as local windows accounts on the AS server. Not much fun for administration. In 2005, I'm not sure if its in the Standard edition or not, but the HTTP connection is still there.
