Hi I looking for help regarding HOWTO place named sets on an axis in a manner similar to a dimension in a client application. I'm using OWC 9.0 (Pivot Table component) and this is embedded in an ASP Page. I need to show only data that match to a criteria (For Example, Age > 25)... and unfortunately OWC 9.0 cannot take MDX Queries ... I want to try whether i can use Named sets for this purpose. I'm very new to OWC but have worked with MDX and MS OLAP a little bit. Looking fwd to your help ... Madan |

-----Original Message----- The only way to reference a named set using owc is in a SELECT statement, which as you note is not supported in older versions. tom @ the domain below www.tomchester.net "Madan" <madddan (AT) yahoo (DOT) com> wrote in message news:528901c376af$1df5d3b0$a601280a (AT) phx (DOT) gbl... Hi Tom Thanks for your response. Can i disable the filter option for a particular dimension alone? what i want to achieve is that i have a Cube will all data and i want the user to access only data that he is responsible for ... in that case i need to restrict the data flow from the server to the client and is possible thru MDX but OWC 9.0 doesn't support this. on the other hand, can i get all the data to the client ... then apply filter using client-side script and disable the option for selecting or deselecting any member from the dimension?
