Default HOWTO kick the habit of AS2005 to throw localized error messages? - 01-09-2006 , 01:25 PM






Hi,

I have germany locale on the Windows 2003 EN with SQL 2005 EN.
Newetherless I get from the AS (from DB engine also) error messages in
german.
It disturb me bestially.
I am forced to translate all messages on english befor I can start look up
in the web or news.

Please, help.

Watch to directory OLAP\bin\RESOURCES, You will find some
subdirectories whose name eq. LocaleID. Try to rename you german
LocaleID subdirectory or replace it with English Locale files.
May be another ways to do what you wants, but I don't know

Try to use Locale Identifier=1033 connection string property
