I am using Analysis service 2000. I have created the cube and
accessing with excel. How I can view the MDX query Excel generates on
fly? I want to learn MDX query so I thought this would be best way to
start. I know we can create a macro in excel but how do we print the
MDX statement?

I got it . We have to use

Connection=Provider=MSOLAP.2;Data Source=localhost;Initial
Catalog=FoodMart
2000;Client Cache Size=25;Auto Synch Period=10000; Log
File='c:\mylog.txt';
