Default How to rename the data source using the Analysis Servers - 08-18-2003 , 07:22 PM

Hi there,
I have created 2 OLAP Databases where the name of the
connections happen to be different, ie. ServerName
SQL2000 - xWH vs ServerName SQL2000 - yWH. I really want
to pull all the cubes into one OLAP database and only have
one connection with a meaningful name. The copying of the
cube is complaining that the datasource must be the same
and I don't know how to automatically rename the
datasource, without having to recreate all the cubes.

The release date is very closed, so appreciate for your
help here, pretty please.

Thanks,
Dao.

Dao,
you can probably rename (maybe even merge) the two
datasources by altering the corresponding information in
the AS repository database.

I would try that with a new database first, though.

HTH,
Lutz
