-----Original Message----- Hi, I know that. When I ask it to register the OLAP Server, it asks me the name of OLAP Server. When I write OLAP Server Name and click OK. it gives me error that "Server not Found. You will need Analysis Services -> Analysis Manager to connect to the OLAP Server. As Enterprise manager is for SQL Server, Analysis Manager is for Analysis Services (OLAP Server). Similarly, As Query Analyser is for executing SQL Queries, MDX Sample Application is for executing MDX Queries. -----Original Message----- Hello Sanka First two things are OK. the third one "to ADD ID to the OLAP Administrators group " is missing, I think. How to add my ID to OLAP Administrators group and on which machine. waiting for your reply Thanks "Sanka" <loonysan (AT) mailcity (DOT) com> wrote in message news:539301c376bf$b81aefb0$a601280a (AT) phx (DOT) gbl... Check whether 1) You are able to ping to that machine from your machine. 2) MSSQLServerOLAPService is started on the machine you are trying to connect. 3) Your ID has been added to the OLAP Administrators group in the machine you are trying to connect. HTH. Cheers, Sanka -----Original Message----- Hi, I know that. When I ask it to register the OLAP Server, it asks me the name of OLAP Server.
