Default How do you add a Cube to a Virtual Cube? - 12-21-2004 , 07:03 PM

Hello Everyone,

I have created a cube and then used the Edit Structure Wizard in the Virtual
Cube Editor to add it to my virtual cube. These tools make this a fairly easy
manual process, but now I need to automate it.

How do I programmatically (VB) add a cube to a virtual cube?

Any pointers will be greatly appreciated.

use the DSO interfaces
Normally these interfaces contains all what you need.

I can't seem to find anything in the DSO information I have that refers to a
virtual cube. Can anyone explain, in DSO terms, what the Edit Structure
Wizard does when I use it to ad a Cube to an existing Virtual Cube?

In DSO, Virtual Cubes are instances of clsCube whew SubClassType is
sbclsVirtual.
This subclasss supports the necessary properties and methods.
See "Working with Virtual Cubes" in BOL for sample code.
