Hi All, I am not able to connect oracle database from MS-Analysis Services. All my Fact tables and Dimension tables are residing on Oracle database. Both the Oracle database and MS Analysis Services are on the same server. I am working on the node and I was able to create the datasource using "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Oracle " and the test connection also succedded but while creating the cubes using the cube wizard it throws error saying " Connection to the data source Failed". Any one could help me in this regards. What are the ways to connect the oracle DB from MS Analysis Services. Regards Svel |

Quite probably it is because of permissions -- your AS service will be running as an account that doesn't have permissions to access the Oracle client components. Usually giving the service account permissions to access the client components will help... Can you provide the following information: - is this 32-bit/64-bit? - is this AS 2005 or AS 2000?
