Default How can we identify AS version - 07-19-2004 , 06:51 AM

Hello,

How can we identify which version of Analysis services is installed ? I'm not looking for the Service Pack version but rather to identify if the installed version is the standard or the enterprise one.

Also, how can we identify the version of the sources (standard or enterprise) by looking on the CD ?

Thanks for your help
Igor

I couldn't find it either....however in AS I'm pretty sure that the
calculated cells feature only is available in the entreprise edition. In the
standard edition you can see the feature on the menu but you cannot select
it.

However I'm running on a developers edition and it can be this installation
that doesn't tell me - try Analysis Servers and about and see if it says
something about version. Seem to recall to have seen this on another
installation.

If you can choose calculated cells you are either using develoers or
entreprise.

This is a frequently asked question and is not as simple as you would think
since there are many components to the answer.
See the Analysis Services Operations guide:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pro.../anservog.mspx
in the section titled: "Verifying the Appropriate Service Pack or Hot Fix
Level". It talks about the various components and how to determine what
version they are at.
