Default How can i deny the access on all data of a cube in the Analysis Manager for domain admins - 01-21-2004 , 08:36 AM

Hello,

I need help!

I have following problem:
I have a OLAP-Database with several cubes and dimensions.
The cubes provide very sensitive data, where not everyone are allowed to see
into.

Now, our customer would like, that the domain admins are not allowed to see
into the cube data with the Analysis Manager.

I have tried this using Database and Cube Roles, but it didn't work.
I configured one Cube Role as follows:
I have tried it with one domain user. All Dimensions are restricted. And the
cells are fully restricted. It enforces on the Client. Only with this
configuration i get no data provided, if I want to see the data of the cube.
But it works only with the Button "Test Role" - not else. When I log on with
the appropriate user (on the server), i get all data provided (this user is
not in the OLAP-Admins-Group)!
When I switch the enforcement to "server" the cells aren't fully restricted
anymore. According to this it works only with client enforcement. But this
works only with the Button "Test role"!!

Is there a possibility, that a domain group or a domain user can not see
into the cube data with the Analysis Manager??

Thank you very much!!!

Regards,
Alwin

PS: Sorry for my english.

Unfortunately it's not possible to prevent administrators from seeing cube
data.

public @ the domain below
