Default How to back up database definition, but not the data. - 01-05-2004 , 11:48 AM

Help!

It's been a while since I've delt with analysis manager, but I recall
there was a way to backup the database such that it only saved the
definition, but not all the data.

I want to create the backup, move it to another server, change the
data source, and rebuild it.

All info is appreciated.

Thanks!

Rick, copy/paste the database within Analysis Mgr -- this only copies
metadata. Then archive the newly copied database.

You can also save the repository database

By default you should find it in your AS2000 Bin directory. It is a .MDB
file
