Default Grouping level in 2005. - 02-21-2006 , 06:56 AM

Hi,

Could anybody tell us if the having of a hidden grouping level in a large
dimension (more the 100K elements) make a sence for performance?

Creating a level from grouping attribute and then hiding it looks a bit
strange.
Groping level is there to facilitate browsing of large levels. Any reason
you would like to hide it?

In general hiding a level should have little impact on performance from the
server stand point.

Hi Edward,

I have migrated from AS2K cube. I should so there because of 64K border.
Yet in AS2K5 I have a dilemma, to delete or not delete that level.

If you are not using Grouping level for browsing, it makes sense you delete
it.
