Default Good business/legal consolidation tools based on Microsoft OLAP - 07-10-2003 , 11:34 PM

Belinda

There are a few issues within your solution that need to be considered.

These probably include, but not limited to:

1. Currency translation: - dynamic vs. non-dynamic approaches within in
an AS
2. Multiple hierarchies for different reporting formats
3. Budgeting and forecasting issues, including data collection
4. Statutory consolidation issues, including journaling and eliminations
5. Data collection and input from both connected and disconnected users.
6. Multi-lingual considerations.

O2OLAP can advise you on some of the methods. We are willing to help put
together a prototype for you based on your company data. Our front end
reporting tool for AS, O2OLAP for Excel, enables us to quickly develop and
maintain AS solutions using Excel as the preferred development environment.
O2OLAP is willing to provide one free copy of O2OLAP for Excel for your
company.

I have personally been in the OLAP arena for over 12 years and have been
fortunate to have worked with, and advised, some of the longer term OLAP
users and companies with their solutions.

Hi All

We are planning to use Microsoft SQL Server 2000 for performing
business/management consolidation. We are a large corporate operating
in 10 different countries and we want to consolidate the management
reporting across all of them on Microsoft SQL Server can you please
let me know which are some of the good and cost effective solutions
running on Microsoft SQL Server OLAP services. I know of Hyperion but
Hyperion Enterprise is expensive.

Thanks
Belinda
