analysis services with sql 2005 rocks.. it is going to change the industry. if you need something sooner than now; you could do SQL 2000 Analysis Services. but at this point; all new olap development should be in sql 2005 |

2005 provide specific features for financial analysis there is a predefined account dimension (created from a wizard) except dedicated financial software, I'm not sure if you can found any tool which provide a good access except AS 2005. for the performance question, you can handle millions of rows easely. I have a 100 millions rows cube where most of the queries are anserwed under 1second.
