Default flat files - 05-17-2004 , 02:22 PM

Hello,

I would like to create a cube with flat files as data source directly with Analysis Manager. Could-you help me ?
I tried using Microsoft text driver and a schema.ini file but i failed. Analysis Manager don't recognize the columns.

Thanks,

This is because the flat file provider does not expose enough metadata to
Analysis Services about the format of the file.
I would suggest that you look at the Data Direct text file driver. I have
used that successfully on numerous ocassions.
http://www.datadirect.com/products/odbc/ flat file / text driver.
Hope that helps.
