Default Extending OLAP example problem - 08-15-2004 , 06:00 PM

I have downloaded the sample excel workbook 'Extending
OLAP.xls' On the foodmart database the writeback works
perfectly. However as soon as I try to create my own pivot
table on the same database I get the following error
message from excel 'Cannot change this part of pivottable
report'. Because of this error the events required to
perform the writeback don't fire. I can't find any
settings or properties to set to prevent this from
happening. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

David,

I had the same problem as you, and it took me some time to figure it
out. You have to set EnableDataValueEditing to True to be able to
update cells in a Pivot table.

David,

You have to set "EnableDataValueEditing" to true to be able to
update/edit cells in a Pivot table.
