Default Excel Pivot Table error - 08-09-2005 , 09:44 PM

Hi,

I'm using an excel pivot table to query a cube. Haven't had a problem in the
past, but today, I opened up a workbook and tried to refresh the data in the
pivot table and got the following error:

Cannot change thread mode after it is set

I also get it trying create a new pivot table, and it's occuring for
different servers.

Has anyone seen this error before?

I'm running SQL Server 2000, SP3, and Excel 2002.

Thanks,
Wreck.

Hello Wreck,

It seems to be an issue inside Excel or in OWC. I suggest that you try to
remove/reinstall OWC to test the sitaution. You could remove it from Office
XP components and download it from the following link:

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/of...aspx?iStartAt=
1

Also, please check if the issue occurs on a different client to isolate a
server side issue.

Since it is most likely a client side issue, it is suggested that you post
the problem in Excel newsgroup.

Have a great day!
