Default Excel and MDX - 10-13-2005 , 05:38 PM

I have a spreadsheet with forecasting models and we would like to
populate the spreadsheet with data from one of our cubes. Can I use
ADOMD to send in MDX queries to return these values (always a single
cell) or would it be better to hide a pivot table on another tab and
manipulate that to pull in my values and shoot them out into the spots
the current models expect?

Thanks,

You can do this with ADOMD, but before you do - have a look at the Excel
Accelerator for AS.

http://www.microsoft.com/office/solu...eladdin/defaul
t.mspx

It includes functions for accessing single cells, plus much more. You
may be able so setup your reports without having to write any code.
