Default Excel Functions - 06-03-2005 , 11:57 AM

Has anyone used Excel functions for calculated members in Analysis Services
per
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...funct_3bzn.asp

or are these only available through MDX?

Can I register these functions for use inside of Analysis Services?

I am trying to calculate percentiles for some scores in a cube. I am
interested in the Percentile function specifically.

tx,
Tim

I have not used the Percentile function, but I've used many others. If
you create a calculated member that uses an Excel function...AS will
auto-magically register the function library for you. It does this
auto-magic for VBA functions and for Excel functions. Any other
function libraries you wish to use will need to be manually registered.
