Hi, I have a cube that I created in AS2005, I have a hierarchy defined. When I create a pivot table based on that cube, I can not drill down to the next level. My hierarchy is based on Dimension Facility. Facility State is root level, facility zip is next level. I know I can't drill-through in excel, but I should be able to drill-down easily. Can anyone lend a hand? thanks! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mg |

Which version of pivot are you using - Office Web Components 11, Excel 2003, etc? When you create a dimension, you will automatically create attributes (Facility State, Facility Zip) and often you will need to create a hierarchy as well (Hierarchy) for your dimension of "Dimension Facility". If you are using OWC 11 and Excel 2003, you will be able to see the Hierarchy hierarchy, Facility State attribute, and Facility Zip attribute but you can only drill down the Hierarchy hierarchy (the advantage now is that you can cross join the Facility State and Facility Zip attributes which you could not do in AS2k). But if you're using an older OWC or Excel client, the pivot may not be able to see all of the options (just the dimension) and hence your problems with drilling down (as it most likely is choosing an attribute instead of the hierarchy). -- HTH!
