Default Excel connection string to analysis services - 10-07-2004 , 03:55 PM

Does anyone know where excel saves its connection string to connect to the
Analysis Server. I am using excel to make a pivot chart and save it as
webpage and trying to access it remotely. I am having problems connecting
to the Analysis Services fromt the client. Can anyone please help.

Thanks,
Alesya.

Hi,

You must edit the Microsoft Excel OLAP Query File (.OQY). By default, the
Microsoft Excel OLAP Query File is stored in the C:\Documents and
Settings\<User>\Application Data\Microsoft\Queries folder.

HTH,
Bas
