Hi, I'm using Excel 2002 and the Excel Addin for SSAS 2005 and thy work fine. But when we rolled out SP3 for Office XP both the AddIn and the pivottable that previously worked could not establish a connection to the SSAS server. Re-registering the olap 9.0 oledb provider solved the problem. But does anyone have an idea why that problem occurred? |

This is just my guess. If you can reproduce this behavior, check HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MSOLAP, HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MSOLAP.2 and HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MSOLAP.3. Here MSOLAP points to current version classid, MSOLAP.2 points to AS 2000 classid, and MSOLAP.3 points to AS 2005 classid.
