I installed MS Analysis Services on a Server and then applied SP 3a . After the Server was rebooted the MS Analysisi Services Exe file msmdsrv.exe was missing from c:\Program Files\Analysis Services\Bin and due to this the service did not start .In the Win 2000 Event Log I had the following message : The MSSQLServerOLAPService service failed to start due to the following error: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

I reinstalled SP 3a again and now the service is running but the server will be rebooted tonight. I;m not sure if the EXE will be there or not tomorrow.
Please let me know if you know the cause of this problem so that I can resolve the issues before the reboot
