I have a cube that I want processes after a load has completed so I put the
process cube stop in DTS and then run the DTS job from agent on another
machine. I get this error:

Executed as user: DTSRun: Loading... Error: -2147221005 (800401F3);
Provider Error: 0 (0) Error string: Invalid class string
Error source: Microsoft Data Transformation Services (DTS) Package
Help file: sqldts80.hlp Help context: 713. Process Exit Code 1. The
step failed.

Both the SQL Server and Analysis server are running W2K SP3. Any ideas?

Have you added the SQLAgent service account to the OLAP Administrators NT
group?

The OLAP service runs under the same account as the agent. But we did try
putting in the OLAP administrators group also but it still does not work.

yes, the Processing of the cube is inside a DTS package. I can open the
package up and process the cube. But when it is scheduled we get the error.

When you run a package interactively it uses the NT credentials of the
logged on user that is running it.
When it is scheduled, it uses the NT credentials for the SQL Agent service
account. That NT account *must* be in the OLAP Administrators group.

What I had requested that you do is to interactively log into the server
where the DTS package will run using same NT credentials that you have
configured the SQL Agent service account. Using that account, first try and
run first Analysis Manager (can you browse the metadata? can you
interactively process the same cube/partition?); second try and run the DTS
package interactively. Any errors reported? This will tell us if the SQL
Agent service account has been configured properly.

From your first post, by the way, for this discussion, it makes NO
difference how you have configured the msmdsrv service.
