For development, the BI Acceelerator cannot access a named instance. Once
you have generated the application and are in deployment you can edit the
..ini file and change the structures to support a named instance. I thought
that we had updated the PAG to include this situation. Did you search the
PAG for deployment scenerios?

When installing the BI Accelerator, I receive the following error:
"Error while checking if SQL Server is installed: [DNETLIB] [Connection
Open](Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or Access is denied
(-214767259)"
Now I know this is due to SQL Server being a named intance rather than a
default instance, however is there a workaround? Do I have to install
another version of SQL Server and leave it as the default instance?
I'm sure this is a common issue and was wondering what others have done to
resolve it.
FYI -This is on my development box. |
