hi,

i recently upgraded by both SQL2000 and Analysis Services
to SP3a.

however, after applying SP3a to Analysis Services, i found
out to my dismay all my users cannot access the OLAP cubes
using EXCEL. (Now only the administrator can access) Prior
to the upgrade, they do not face any problem in the
connection.

The error my users has when connecting is as follows:

Unable to open connection.
Cannot load databases; version may not be valid.
Connection to server is lost.

I think you need to update client too once you apply SP3. Download the
latest office patch
