I'm trying to use Excel as a front end for my cubes, but I can't connect with
my OLAP Server from a PC cients with Excel.

The server:
Windows 2000 server (SP4)
SQL Server 2000 (SP3)
Office XP Pro (SP3) with Excel Add In for SQL Server Analysis Services

The client:
Windows XP (SP1) (Home edition)
Office XP Pro (SP3) with Excel Add In for SQL Server Analysis Services

If I try to make the conection from the server's Excel I don't have any
problem, but when I try to make the conection from the client's Excel in the
Conection Manager window from Cube Analysis Menu, appears this error window:


OLAP Server Error trying to connect to "name server"
OLAP Server Error: Error no specified


I would apreciate any help

have you installed the Analysis Services SP3 client on the workstation?
search the file "ptslite.exe" in the SP3 package
