Default Error Browsing SSAS 2005 (RTM) - 11-02-2005 , 06:30 AM

I just installed the RTM of SQL 2005 on my laptop. I used named
instances of SQL and AS because I still need to run SQL2k. When I try to
browse cubes from Excel or BIDS I get the following error.

TITLE: Microsoft Visual Studio
------------------------------
Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component.

And the OWC component says that it could not connect to the SQLBrowser
service running on localhost.

I have installed the dev edition from MSDN on my WinXP (SP2) laptop. I
did not have any issues with any of the Betas or CTPs running inside a
virtual PC on a Win2k3 server.

I can create and process databases and objects. I can run MDX from SSMS.
There just appears to be something wrong with the OWC/PTS components.

Anyone have any ideas how to fix this? I have already tried re-
registering the msolap*.dll's.

I got it working, I tried installing SP4 on my AS2k instance and this
appear to get things working. But I also realised that I am now logged
into my domain (During my previous attempts at connecting I had been
working from home). I'm guessing that it also could have been an issue
with trying to contact a domain controller to verify my AD credentials.

very strange.
