Default DTS Package CommandLine Execution failure - 10-26-2005 , 04:46 AM

I have a DTS package which runs every morning to process all my cubes -
after running perfectly for months the last 2 days it has suddenly
stopped (at the same point) and an error has come up on the server:
DTSRun - DTS package Commandline Execution encountered a problem and
needed to close.
The package doesn't fail as as such, the whole process just stops.
The Application Event Log shows:Faulting application dtsrun.exe,
version 2000.80.534.0, faulting module MSO.DLL, version 11.0.6408.0,
fault address 0x000205c9.
When I process the cubes manually, they are fine.
The only other thing I can see is that the database backups taken in
the evening have also been failing - Operating system error=5
Has anyone experienced a problem like this before?

Operating system error=5 is a permission denied error so my guess would
be that some permissions have been changed somewhere

Thanks for that, I thought it must be a permission problem but it seems
strange that the package processes 5 cubes and all the shared dimensions
quite happily then the whole DTS process falls over - the permissions of
the job owner must be OK and the permissions of the cube where it fails
are fine so it's a bit of a mystery.

Please, does anyone have any ideas on this? It is still occurring at
the same place every night and DTS just falls over, leaving the cube
locked.
If I process this cube via a package (manually, OR as a scheduled job),
or directly via AS, it is fine.
I think the error=5 is not connected as the database backups have been
sorted out and are OK now
