I am relatively new to OLAP using MS data analyzer.

My manager is asking for a way to publish customer dimension data via the
web. I would prefer to simply use DTS to generate an excel file, per
customer, post cube processing every night. Is there a way to generate excel
files automatically like the manual process of exporting views to excel?

I strongly suggest to have a look at MS Reporting Services.

This is just what it was invented for.
