Default DSO/XML Scripting utility for Analysis services - 02-15-2004 , 07:18 AM

This utility is mentioned in the MS SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services
Operations Guide. The link in this paper does not work. It points to a
general BI/DW page but there is no DSO/XML scripting utility on this page.

Is this still in development?

We are in the process of shepherding it through the release process here at
Microsoft. Once it is available, I will update the forward link to point to
the download site and I will make an announcement on this newsgroup. Keep
tuned. Development is done.. it is just a matter of moving it through our
internal systems.

The AS Operations Guide and the DSO/XML utility were developed in parallel.
One was completed first before the other. Rather than having a 404 error
because of a missing page, I pointed the link to our "central pointer page"
for the rest of the tools and white papers -- it is that simple. I
appologize if I caused an unnecessary confusion.
