Default DSO and AS2005 - 07-07-2006 , 10:09 AM

I have seen posts regarding this subject but I am not sure why everyone
says you can only use DSO on AS2005 for databases that were upgraded
from AS2000.

Is it because you must have a repository file for DSO to use? Why
couldn't I just include a new repository file with an install package
that sets everything up? Or, creates one in SQL Server 2005?

Doing this manually, I have had some good results on creating a new
database and cubes/dimensions. Something is a little odd when I
progrmatically create commands, though. Something appears to be
putting [] around the word Date which causes syntax errors when
processing:
CREATE MEMBER CURRENTCUBE.[Measures].[Year to [Date] Amount] AS ...

Has anyone else had to go through this exercise to get DSO to work with
their application and AS2005?

Thanks.

The problem with adding quotes to 'Date' (and 'Time' also) is a defect being
fixed for SP2.
